Web Designer - Newcastle 25-30k+
Our client based in Newcastle is looking for an established Web Designer to join them at a period of growth and client wins. Your main role will be to design and produce online products and services to an advanced industry level. You will be a conceptual thinker, have a passion for design and be extremely motivated. Experience of working across different online channels for various brands will be advantageous.
Main Duties:
• Create and/or develop a client’s brand online
• Work closely with Creative Teams
• Manage client’s requests, demands and expectations.
• Work conceptually to identify and develop strong visual design solutions.
• Produce designs that enable a smooth transition into the build stage.
• Work with all other members of the Interface Technology department to focus designs on the needs of users.
• Support Director in preparation and delivery of pitches and cost estimates.
• Have a keen awareness of developments in industry technology and practice.
• Ability to work as part of team of designers, as well as working alone.
• Monitoring the design layout and projects objectives to ensure consistency.
Your essential skills will comprise of:
• Best practice knowledge of designing user interfaces and experiences.
• Experience designing for Web accessibility.
• Experience in design possibilities and constraints imposed by technologies such as HTML, JavaScript and Flash.
• Experience of various aspects of online development, including internet, intranet, online applications.
• Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
• Typical design background desirable.
If you have experience of the below you will be favoured!
• Wireframing/IA tools such as Visio
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
• Macromedia Flash
You will ideally also have knowledge of:
• HTML
• AS3
• After Effects 6 or similar
