Senior Web Designer - Newcastle, up to 30k

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of three years commercial experience, preferably within an agency setting. As well a being an expert with Photoshop, as this is a senior role, the successful candidate will be expected to have additional skills; such as Flash or HTML/CSS.
We are searching for someone with a passion and enthusiasm for web design. The person we are looking for will possess excellent interpersonal skills and a creative flair.
Principle responsibilities
1. To present a professional and consultative approach
2. To travel and present to companies and individuals if required
3. To create high impact designs which get people talking
4. To disseminate, organise and diary work to project team
5. Liaise with account and project teams
6. Website, intranet, email design
7. Flash animation for website elements such as banners, video integration and multimedia presentations
8. To ensure the highest standards of service are maintained in line with the company’s mission statement
9. Reporting back to Digital Director on a regular basis in the prescribed format
10. All other ad hoc duties required of you
Knowledge and skills required
Education: Preferably a graduate with excellent standards in Maths and English
Design: Photoshop, Flash, HTML/CSS
Other Skills: Communication skills, Project management skills, PC skills (MS Office)
Problem solving: Organised and able to prioritise workload, commercial experience, and able to deal with non-routine requests from line managers, clients and prospects.
Interpersonal skills: Organisation, diplomacy, hard work, good sense of humour, excellent team spirit, empathy and listening skills
