a fresh thinking recruitment agency

Why everything is better after a cuppa.

Why everything is better after a cuppa.

Some things can’t be rushed; it takes time to make a great book brilliant, a good presentation irresistible, your next move the right move.

At Altitude we take the time to get to know you, find out what makes you tick, what gets you out of bed in the morning, where you want to go with your career and where you don’t.

That’s why the first thing we’ll do when you walk though the door is make a nice cup of tea. Tea gets us and you to stop and think, take time out and do that thing we all do far too little of - listen. Tea helps us and you make your CV stand out from the rest.

Like everything else making a good cup of tea has its rules. Here are our rules to getting your career off to a flying start and keeping it on track.

Rule number 1 Warm the pot

There are plenty of creative recruitment agencies that are keen on speed dating. Call us old-fashioned but we’re not one of them. In our book sending your CV out to any old Tom, Dick or Harriet before we get to know you is just plain daft. That’s why when we send your book out you can be pretty sure you’ll warm to them and they’ll warm to you.

Oh! And it almost goes without saying your book won’t go anywhere without your say so.

Rule number 2 Milk First?

Even the best web designers and art directors can often find it hard to showcase their own work in a way that really does it justice.

At Altitude we’ve got heaps of experience on what it takes to make a good book great and we’ll be more than happy to share that experience with you.

Rule number 3 China cups or mugs?

It’s important to find out what suits you and where you feel comfortable. We are always on the look out for companies that fit your skills and career aspirations, and having offices in Gateshead, Leeds and Manchester we have a good geographical reach.

Rule number 4 One lump or two?

Money. A recent survey showed that one in six people are too shy to ask for salary that their talents rightly deserve. For others it’s all too easy to be seduced by those sweet sounding nothings.

It’s all about finding the right balance. The sweetest thing of all is getting the right financial reward for the work you love doing.

Rule number 5 Pour when ready.

It all boils down to time. The Internet is great but in our book there are some things that can only be done over a cup of tea. We won’t send your book out until you are ready. So you see tea really does make things better. But don’t take our word for it. Pop in for a cuppa and see for yourself.

PS.
Tea is on us. :-)
